Richard III “Love Scene”
Over quarantine in the midsts of the Pandemic, there was some joy to be found in The Frederick Shakespeare Festival back home in Maryland where I got to perform as my favorite Shakespeare character, Richard the third. This was very special to me not only because getting to perform during this time has been a beacon of hope for myself, but getting a chance to perform such a fun scene with an all women identifying cast felt absolutely thrilling, amazing and frankly should be done more often. Believe Me is a part of LadyFest 2019
At 2am in a muggy laundromat, the Miller sisters find themselves alone besides the erratic muffles of a baby monitor. As the humidity rises, and the muffles become louder, Betty and Faith’s patience grows thin, spiraling them into ultimate sibling rivalry.
